IMG_0943.jpg

Today, speaking more than one language has become increasingly important for education, work, and travel. In this episode of Figure Out Your Life, I discuss learning a new language with Dr. Aisha Z. Cort, and she shares with us tips and strategies on getting started on your own language learning journey from her experiences as a multilingual speaker and language coach.

Dr. Cort is a Cuban-Guyanese-American Spanish speaker from Boston, MA. She received her undergraduate degree from Yale University in Spanish (2005) and earned her Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Emory University in Spanish Literature (2009, 2010). She lives in  Washington, DC and is currently a full-time lecturer of Spanish at Howard University. Her company Hey Dr. Cort! offers a number of services that allow you to take control of your language learning journey on your own time, including a Viva La Lengua: 4 Weeks to Conversationally Fluent Spanish course and cultural immersion trips to Havana, Tulum, and Barcelona.
